Shrinkwrap the house!

Today is weatherization day here at Casa Good Times. Warren helped me get the plastic over the patio door.  Man, that is a beast! But, the duck-brand pre-taped plastic worked like a dream (so far; we’ll see what happens when the wind and snow come). Now its on the the regular-sized windows. I once heard a kid ask his  mom, “why is that lady blow-drying her windows?”  ’Cause she want to save money on heat! This place has electric baseboard heaters in each room, with ‘thermostats’. I think they are just on/off dials myself. No blowers so all the heat drifts up the walls and hangs out on the ceiling. The first time I turned on the heat in the living room, I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t warming up. Then I stood up.  Yow! I have to check the Menards for diverters or something.
